GRAFFITI AS ACTION
Graffiti is free by nature; however, the creator is tied to conditions that limit his freedom as a creator: he is tied to time, context, space and perception of these factors. Graffiti is not limited to a physical space; it is, among other things, the action of relating with the environment while questioning the rules of coexistence. It should conflict with its own creator. It must generate a direct questioning to the viewer. It´s unrepeatable. It´s intangible. It´s a metaphor for impermanence. |
